The garden is designed to make the maximum of the space around a new house within the prestigious Wentworth Golf Club area. The plan uses the ‘borrowed’ landscape of the surrounding woodland to axiom effect to extend views and provide visual interest. Around the house, varying terraces have been designed for the clients to sit in different places as the sun moves around the house. A large conservatory kitchen is surrounded by a semi-formal rose and herb garden; a large herbaceous border leads the eye to the woodlands beyond whilst a water feature is surrounded by rings of Magnolia and Prunus reflected in the water below. The wider landscape makes the most of acid loving trees and shrubs to provide seasonal colour throughout the year, peaking to a display of Rhododendrons and Azaleas in May.
